Recent ActivityThe CVUSD security patrols all District sites 7 days a week. Each comprehensive high school has a police officer and at least three campus security officers assigned during normal operating hours. A primary concern is the protection of students, employees, and visitors.

Group Announcements Office of Security Area of JurisdictionThe District’s school security officers are non-sworn and unarmed. Their primary role, within the limits of the law and the authority granted by the Board of Education, is to protect students, staff, visitors and property of the District, primarily through prevention, observation and reporting. Other authorized functions may include monitoring safety standards established by the District, issuing parking citations on district premises pursuant to Section 2113(a) of the California Vehicle Code, enforcing district rules and regulations, monitoring facility access control, and providing assistance at special events. Security OfficerThe purpose of the Security Officer is to assist school site administrators and staff in creating a safe and secure environment to ensure the objectives of the educational program may be achieved. School Resource OfficerThe core responsibility of the School Resource Officers is to interact with student, staff, and school administration to ensure, within their resources, to have a safe educational environment. The Operation CleanSWEEPOperation CleanSWEEP is a coalition of law enforcement, educators and courts whose focus is to promote a safe learning environment for our children. The program was created to help schools within San Bernardino County manage the challenges they are facing when dealing with the safety of students.
The style of Operation CleanSWEEP is cooperation with school administration, with the judicial system, with parents, with the neighborhood, you name it. We want to work with you to make this operation a success. Others talk of partnerships, but we're taking it to a whole new level. We're a web of interaction groups, and Operation CleanSWEEP is input Friendly. Programs: Security Assessment - We take a close look at schools from a law enforcement viewpoint. A team of Sheriff's Department specialists will eyeball the old alma mater from top to bottom and make a detailed analysis of its safety pros & cons. Specialist will work with the site administrator to make it a physically safer location Safety Programs -Operation CleanSWEEP brings directly to the campus presentations such as SLAM, Crisis Response Training, Anti-Drug Classes, Parents' Rights, Drug-Use Recognition, and dynamic speakers on a wide variety of hot topics.
